Collaboration is free for everyone — there’s no paid tier for working together. ChatCut gives you two ways to share: a view-only link so people can watch your finished video, and an invite link that lets someone edit the project with you.
How do I share a finished video for viewing?
When you export in the cloud, ChatCut creates a view-only share link (a /v/… URL) and copies it to your clipboard. Anyone with that link can watch the exported video with no ChatCut account or sign-in required — it opens a simple player page with your project title and name.
How do I invite someone to edit with me?
Use the invite (collaboration) link from the share dialog — it opens a /share-claim/… URL. When the person opens it, they see an invite screen (“You’re invited.”); accepting adds them to the project as an editor. Invited editors can do any normal editing operation: upload media, change the project, and run generations. There are exactly two roles — owner and editor — so every collaborator you invite has full editing access (there is no view-only or comment-only member role).
How do I see and manage who’s on a project?
The share dialog lists everyone on the project (“Members · N”) with their avatar, display name, and email, and marks the owner with an “Owner” badge.
How do I remove access?
- Revoke a link: the creator can revoke any share or invite link at any time; a revoked link stops working immediately.
- Remove a member: removing someone takes effect immediately and also revokes all of the project’s active invite links, so a removed collaborator can’t rejoin with an old link. Re-share a fresh link to let the remaining people back in if needed.

An invite link (opened at /share-claim/…) is different: whoever opens it and signs in is added to the project as an editor, with full editing access alongside you. Either link keeps working until its owner revokes it — links don’t expire on a timer, only on revocation. Once revoked, the link stops working for everyone who has it.
